Bordeaux chasing Anfield defender

Bordeaux have enquired about taking Liverpool defender Djimi Traore on loan.

The 22-year-old, who spent last season with Lens and has been regularly linked with a move to Blackburn, is expected to leave Anfield next season.

His agent, Pape Diouf, told the club's website: "Bordeaux are very interested in signing Djimi Traore.

"They want to take him on loan for next season, but there are also two other clubs who want to take him on loan."
