St Pat’s-Shamrock Rovers tie postponed

St Patrick’s Athletic’s opening game of the new Eircom League season has been postponed due to the Dublin club’s European commitments.

St Pat’s were due to face Shamrock Rovers at Tolka Park on Friday, but the game was rescheduled after the Inchicore side beat HNK Rijeka in the first round of the Intertoto Cup at the weekend.

That victory set up a second-round meeting with KAA Gent of Belgium on Saturday night.
