Davis 'surprised' by Murdoch appointment
Kelvin Davis says he is surprised by the appointment of Stuart Murdoch as Wimbledon's new manager.
However, the 25-year-old keeper says the players will be behind the former goalkeeping coach, and he deserves a chance.
Davis said: "He did a brilliant job when he took charge last season.
"No-one could have complained when we won four out of six games under him - that's a great start for any manager. He's got a lot of respect from the lads and they will all be happy about it," he told the club's website.
"Stuart knows us all and what we're capable of already."
However, he admitted Murdoch's appointment "was a bit of a surprise" as the players thought the next manager "would be someone with a bit more experience".
