Wednesday strike Knight loan deal

Sheffield Wednesday have signed Chelsea striker Leon Knight on a one-year loan.

The England Under-20 international scored 17 goals on loan at Second Division Huddersfield last season and could make his debut for the Owls at Nottingham Forest on August 17 after missing the opening two games of the Division One season through suspension.

Wednesday’s chief executive Alan Sykes said: "I am sure Leon will prove to be a very exciting addition to our squad over the next year.

"We have been working for several weeks to bring him to Sheffield Wednesday and are extremely grateful to Chelsea for their co-operation in enabling this deal to go through."
