Campbell relishing win-or-bust task
Sol Campbell believes that "living on the edge" will bring the best out of him and the rest of the England team in the knockout stages of the World Cup.
Campbell is relishing the win-or-bust situation that England now find themselves in as they prepare to take on Denmark in Saturday's second phase match.
But he is hoping that his side can progress without the need for a penalty-shoot out.
He said: "Now we are at the stage where you've got to win, the knockout stages, and I think that will bring the best out of the team without question. I prefer being in a situation where everything is on the edge.
"I just hope we can do the job inside the 90 minutes. I'd love for that to happen. We've had penalties too many times and seen things not go for us like the shoot-out against Argentina four years ago."
Campbell added: "I will be at the back of the queue if it goes to penalties - but it is something we worked on in the build-up to the World Cup and I am sure will happen again in the next few days."
