Five Irish players sat out training in Seoul today ahead of the team’s World Cup second-round clash against Spain on Sunday.

Steve Staunton, Robbie Keane, Damien Duff, Niall Quinn and Kevin Kilbane all missed the work-out due to minor injuries picked up against Saudi Arabia on Tuesday.

However, manager Mick McCarthy remains hopeful that he will have a full squad to choose from when he names his team for the Spain game.
