Michael Owen has shrugged off his lack of goals in the World Cup and insisted: ‘‘If I don’t score and England make good progress then I’ll be fine.’’

The Liverpool player is still looking for his first goal in the 2002 competition after drawing a blank in the 0-0 draw with Nigeria which saw England book their place in the second phase.
