Saudi Arabia have warned Ireland not to expect any favours when the two sides clash in their final World Cup group game on Tuesday.

Saudi playmaker Nawaf al-Temyat, who had several chances to score against Cameroon yesterday, said his side hopes to leave the World Cup on a high.

"We know we made mistakes against Germany, but the coaches were delighted with our performance against Cameroon and they have asked us to show the same spirit against Ireland," he said.

He continued: "Everybody in the Saudi Arabian team is determined to play well against Ireland because it will be the last chance to show the world what we can do.

"We know we will be going home next week and we want to do so feeling happy by taking three points from Ireland."
