The 25-year-old midfielder sat out Paraguay's 2-2 draw with South Africa on Sunday after he twisted his ankle during pre-tournament training.

Paraguay coach Cesare Maldini said he expects to have all his players available for Friday's Group B match against Spain.

The game will also feature the return of goalkeeper Jose Luis Chilavert, sidelined in Paraguay's opener while he served out the last of a four-game suspension.
