Quinn reveals how close he was to Keane deal

Niall Quinn has revealed how Roy Keane could have re-joined the Republic of Ireland squad without making an apology.

Veteran striker Quinn worked around the clock trying to broker a deal whereby former skipper Keane could have been accepted back by manager Mick McCarthy following their much-publicised bust-up in Saipan.
