West Brom are in the running to bring Sunderland and Ireland's Kevin Kilbane back to the Hawthorns.

The Republic of Ireland international is not thought to feature in Peter Reid's rebuilding plans.

And Baggies chief executive John Wile revealed that they would be keen to bring Kilbane back.

He spent two years with West Brom, until he was transferred for £2.2m (€3.5m) in 1999.

Wile told the official club website: "If Sunderland do make him available, then we would certainly give him serious consideration."
