Zidane to miss France's opening two games
Zinedine Zidane has been ruled out of France's opening two World Cup matches against Senegal on Friday and Uruguay on June 6, with a thigh injury.
The playmaker suffered the injury during the warm-up match against South Korea.
"I have some slightly worrying news," French Football Federation head Claude Simonet told Uefa.com. "I've just been told the results of the X-ray and Zinedine Zidane will be absent for two matches."
"If you want to be world champions, you have to be prepared to play from time to time without one of your stars."
