Malbranque steers French to U-21final

Fulham's Steed Malbranque scored as France deservedly gained a place in the UEFA European Under-21 championship final after stylishly ending the campaign of hosts Switzerland.

Malbranque scored in the second half before the lead was extended by Olivier Sorlin.

In the other semi-final the Czech Republic lead Italy after a first minute goal from Rozehnal.
