Cameroon have suffered another blow to their World Cup preparations after ending up stranded in Thailand without a flight to get them to Japan and South Korea.

The players were forced to make an unscheduled landing in Bangkok today, five days after they were supposed to have arrived at their training camp in Japan.

The Cameroon squad was also stranded in Paris for four days earlier this week after the players refused to travel unless they were paid their €45,000 World Cup bonuses.

Japanese media reported that the latest setback came because the Indian charter flight being used by the squad failed to get permission to enter some countries’ airspace.
