Heintze to quit after World Cup

Jan Heintze will quit international football after Denmark's World Cup campaign.

The PSV defender will be one of the oldest players at this summer's tournament.

However, he will carry on for another year with the Dutch club.

"One day the end has to come," said Heintze, who had planned to retire after the 1998 showpiece.

But he said: "Everything went fine after that so I continued. I now take one year at a time."
