United 'close in' on Thuram

Manchester United are closing in on a £20m (€32m) deal for Juventus ace Lilian Thuram, according to reports.

The reports suggest that United have a representative talking to the defender at France's World Cup training camp.

Meanwhile, other reports suggest Arsenal and United are both reportedly eyeing Argentina captain Roberto Ayala.

Ayala reportedly wants to play in England after helping Valencia to the Spanish title and a clause in his contract limits his transfer fee to £13m (€20m).
