Blatter hits back

Sepp Blatter today fended off the latest attack on his FIFA presidency by insisting he has been the victim of ‘‘months of relentless and systematic attacks’’.

The Swiss lawyer issued a statement today after yesterday’s news that 11 members of FIFA’s executive committee are planning to initiate legal proceedings against him before the weekend.
