Barcelona will finish the campaign empty handed following defeat on penalties to second division club Terrassa in the final of the Copa Catalunya.

The shock reverse followed their Copa del Rey defeat to Figueres, a second division B club, in November.

Terrassa won on spot kicks after the match ended 1-1, with goals from Barca midfielder Xavi and Terrassa striker Monti.

The Nou Camp club could take some solace from the campaign if they confirm the final Champions League place with victory at relegated Real Zaragoza on Saturday.
