Beckham: young squad must perform

England captain David Beckham has dismissed suggestions the national team is too young to make an impact on the World Cup next month.

Coach Sven-Goran Eriksson has placed his faith in a number of youngsters who, although extremely talented, are relatively inexperienced in terms of international football.
