United bow out to Leverkusen

Manchester United have crashed out of the Champions League after drawing 1-1 with Bayer Leverkusen at the BayArena tonight.

Roy Keane had given United the lead in the first half, coolly rounding the Leverkusen goalkeeper, before finishing from a tight angle.

On the stroke of half-time, however, Oliver Neuville's brilliant strike from the edge of the box crashed in off the crossbar to leave the sides level.

A sensational second half saw chances for both sides as United threw everything into attack.
