Premiership: Cole seals Blackburn win

A second-half diving header from Andy Cole gave Blackburn a deserved victory at Goodison Park.

Matt Jansen had put Rovers into a first half lead, only for Nick Chadwick to equalise just after the break.

Dunn hit the bar as Blackburn pressed for a third, before Tomasz Radzinski came on for Alexandersson after 73 minutes, Everton using three strikers to try to rescue things.

Jesper Blomqvist, with 10 minutes left, was Moyes’ last throw of the dice as he replaced Unsworth.

But Cole almost got the third when he broke away in injury time to chip over Gerrard, the ball dropping over the bar.
