eircom League: Richardson leaves as Shamrock Rovers boss
Damien Richardson has parted company with Shamrock Rovers. The reasons behind his departure are not known.
He is the third manager from Dublin's "big four" to leave his job in six months after Pete Mahon from Bohemians and Shelbourne's Dermot Keely.
Keely, who is a former Rovers player, now tops the short-list of replacements for Richardson, but speculation also suggests that Irish businessman John Courtney is set to buy the Tallaght club and install former Boh's boss Roddy Collins as manager.
