International: McCarthy names starting 11 for friendly against US
Ireland manager Mick McCarthy has announced his starting line-up for the friendly international against the United States in Lansdowne Road tomorrow night.
Gary Breen will captain the side in the absence of Roy Keane, while Rory Delap will make his first appearance in an Irish shirt for two years alongside Mark Kinsella, Kevin Kilbane and Colin Healy in midfield.
Elsewhere, Shay Given will start in goal, with Steve Finnan, Ian Harte, Andy O’Brien and Breen in the backs.
At the opposite end, Damien Duff will partner Robbie Keane in attack. Both Jason McAteer and Richard Dunne were not considered for the team because of injuries.
