Ireland have qualified for the under-19 European Championships in Norway later this year after recording a 0-0 draw against Holland at Turner’s Cross last night.

The result gave Brian Kerr’s team a 2-1 aggregate win. Holland spent most of the game pressing forward into Ireland’s half and captain Graham Ward made two crucial goal-line clearances in the second half to protect the 2-1 lead.
