Champions League: Leverkusen skipper optimistic

Bayer Leverkusen captain Jens Nowotny remains optimistic of reaching the semi-finals of the Champions League after his strictly watching brief at Anfield last night.

Nowotny missed the 1-0 defeat by Liverpool because of suspension but should return for the quarter-final second leg with Carsten Ramelow picking up his third yellow card of the tournament last night.
