Soccer: Fans threaten ticket boycott

Wimbledon fans have threatened to boycott season ticket sales until the club drops its plans to relocate to Milton Keynes.

Dons chairman Charles Koppel is awaiting a verdict on the move from the Football League, who will re-examine their decision to block it.

But season tickets for the 2002/03 campaign are already on sale, and the Wimbledon Independent Supporters’ Association plan to urge fans not to buy at a meeting at Selhurst Park on Saturday.

WISA chairman Kris Stewart said: ‘‘No-one is suggesting that we stop supporting our club.

‘‘We will be there at Selhurst Park come the first ‘home’ game of next season, whatever we decide.’’
