Premiership: Alexandersson brings Everton level

Everton have drawn level with Newcastle thanks to a 35th-minute strike from Niclas Alexandersson.

Duncan Ferguson had given the Merseysiders the lead in the sixth minute.

However, two goals, from Alan Shearer and Carl Cort, in the 12th and 15th minutes put the home side ahead.

But Alexandersen's opportunist goal keeps the Toffees in contention.
