Nationwide League: Irish stars Foley and Reddy on the move

Irish international striker Dominic Foley and compatriot Michael Reddy have joined new clubs on England's transfer deadline day.

Irish international striker Dominic Foley and compatriot Michael Reddy have joined new clubs on England's transfer deadline day.

Foley, from Co Cork, has moved on loan from Watford to Second Division QPR. Foley struggled to find a first team chance at Gianluca Vialli's Watford.

Meanwhile Kilkennyman Michael Reddy has joined Barnsley after being released on a month's loan from Sunderland.

Reddy was farmed out by Sunderland boss Peter Reid to Hull earlier in the season and the 22-year-old became an instant hit with his goals when stepping off the bench for the Tigers.

The 6ft 1in striker, who joined Sunderland as a trainee in August 1999, will go straight into Barnsley’s squad for the tough trip to promotion-chasing West Brom.
