Soccer: Injury forces Gerrard out of England squad

Liverpool’s Steven Gerrard has withdrawn from the England squad for their friendly game against Italy on Wednesday.

The midfielder limped off the pitch after picking up a groin injury during his club’s Premiership tie with Chelsea yesterday.
