Coventry City have signed two Premiership players to help in the race to reach the play-offs.

Derby County centre-back Horacio Carbonari has been drafted in on-loan until the end of the season.

Fulham midfielder Paul Trollope joins him, signing for the club for the remainder of the campaign. Carbonari, 28, has struggled to maintain his place in Derby's line-up after suffering a series of injuries.

Trollope is a full international for Wales and plies his trade on the left side of midfield. City manager Roland Nilsson told the club's website: "Both players could come into contention for Sunday's match against Birmingham."
