Premiership: Vieira found not guilty of misconduct
The Football Association has found Arsenal midfielder Patrick Vieira not guilty of misconduct following a disciplinary hearing in London today.
The Arsenal captain was called before the hearing for allegedly elbowing Chelsea’s Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink on St Stephen’s Day.
However, the FA "accepted Mr Vieira’s explanation that his action was to shrug off Hasselbaink and any contact was accidental".
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger, who was present to defend Vieira, said: "Patrick has worked very hard this season to clean up his act."
