UCD moved up into the comfort of mid-table with this good win.

Richie Purdy gave College the perfect start when rising well to head home at the back post from Darragh Ryan's corner.

Ryan then caught the Galway defence square to run through onto Ciaran Martyn's pass and shoot home the second goal ten minutes later.

Alan Murphy gave Galway hope when getting a goal back on 68 minutes.

But any hopes of a revival were dashed two minutes later when David Quinn added UCD's third goal.
