Premiership: Krncevic suspects Leeds interest in Kisnorbo
South Melbourne coach Eddie Krncevic reckons Leeds are poised to sign promising defender Patrick Kisnorbo, who is on trial with the West Yorkshire club.
The Australia Under-20 international is training with the Leeds squad and Krncevic said: ‘‘There’s a strong possibility we’ll lose him.
‘‘The signs are that Leeds will sign him simply by the way they have treated him.
‘‘He’s been given a couple of days to recover from the flight, he’s been impressive when he trained and now they’ve arranged matches for him.
‘‘He’s a quality player but he’s also very hungry for it and I’m expecting them to see that in him.’’
Krncevic hopes Leeds will allow Kisnorbo to return to Melbourne to play out the rest of the National League season if they agree to make the move permanent.
‘‘The ideal scenario will be if he plays out the season with us and then goes back in July,’’ added Krncevic. ‘‘He’s much better off playing first team here than in reserve football over there.’’
