Irish midfielder Brian Barry-Murphy has joined Southend on a one-month loan from First Division Preston North End.

Southend have signed Irish midfielder Brian Barry-Murphy on a one-month loan from First Division Preston North End.

The 23-year-old former Cork City player is a former Irish Under-21 international and has been with Preston since August 1999.
