Premiership: Coventry accept Everton bid for Carsley

Coventry have accepted a bid of €3.1m from Everton for Lee Carsley.

The Sky Blues' official website says Carsley is expected to complete the move on Friday.

The completion of the deal is subject to talks and a medical.

Coventry's official website said: "It was Lee's choice to go and no-one at Highfield Road put him under any pressure at all.

"Lee showed his desire to return to Premiership football by waving payments that in effect help Coventry get in excess of €3m for the transfer."
