Premiership: United: No hitch in Ferguson talks

Manchester United insist there is no "snag" in their negotiations with Alex Ferguson over his new contract with the club.

Spokesman Paddy Harverson says the deal is expected to be announced early next week.

"There is no major snag. It's simply a delay in getting the paperwork done and the logistics of getting everyone round the table," said Harverson.

"We hope to be able to sort everything next week - possible as early as Monday."
