Premiership: Boro fail to land Carbone

Middlesbrough have failed in their bid to sign Benito Carbone on loan from Bradford.

Boro manager Steve McLaren met the Italian yesterday to discuss the possibility of a loan deal until the end of this season.

Carbone wanted a permanent contract, but Middlesbrough were not prepared to meet his wage demands.

"As it stands, unless anything changes, we will move on and look elsewhere," McLaren said.
