Premiership: Ginola banned for touchline bust-up

David Ginola has been banned for two games and fined €35,657 for his touchline fracas with assistant referee Clive Wilkes in the Premiership match against Leicester.

Ginola was found guilty of misconduct by the Football Association for his actions, which occurred after he was sent off for stamping on Dennis Wise during the home defeat on December 1.

The Aston Villa winger refused to comment on the outcome of the hearing at the Professional Footballers' Association headquarters in Manchester.

However, PFA chief executive Gordon Taylor, who attended the hearing with Ginola, claimed the Frenchman was very disappointed with the outcome.
