Premiership: Spurs linked with Jancker move

Tottenham have been linked with a loan move for Bayern Munich striker Carsten Jancker.

The German international, who scored twice in Bayern's 3-1 win over Bielefeld on Friday, has been given permission to leave the European champions, sparking speculation he is set to arrive in English football.

Fulham were strongly linked with a move for the 27-year-old but, with Spurs boss Glenn Hoddle keen to boost his squad with loan signings, teamtalk.com reports today that the London club are close to snapping up Jancker until the end of the season.
