Premiership: Ljungberg disappointed by draw
Arsenal goalscorer Fredrik Ljungberg admitted the Gunners were disappointed to let the lead slip in today’s Premiership game with Liverpool at Highbury.
Ljungberg gave Arsenal a deserved lead just after the hour-mark but John Arne Riise equalised four minutes later and the game finished 1-1.
And Swede Ljungberg said: ‘‘I’m a little bit disappointed.
‘‘It was a tough game that was very tight but we fought well we went 1-0 up and I feel disappointed they scored.
‘‘It was an easy goal for me. I missed one in the first half and I was very disappointed to miss so it was nice to score.’’
He added: ‘‘Liverpool are very good so to go 1-0 up it’s disappointing to let a goal in.’’
He is already looking ahead to next weekend’s trip to Elland Road, adding: ‘‘We have to win on Sunday against Leeds but we know it will be very tough because they are a good team.’’
