Robbie Fowler has admitted he knew it was time to leave Liverpool before he joined Leeds for stg£11m.

Fowler says a training ground bust-up with Liverpool assistant manager Phil Thompson and reading between the lines over conversations with Gerard Houllier led to him deciding to quit Anfield.
