Barnsley defender Brian O'Callaghan has been called up to the Republic of Ireland Under-21s squad for a training session at Bisham Abbey.

Barnsley defender Brian O'Callaghan has been called up to the Republic of Ireland Under-21s squad for a training session at Bisham Abbey.

He has a slight medial ligament injury but is expected to be fit for the get-together later this month.

However, O'Callaghan's call-up will rule out him out of the Tykes' home clash with Wolves on January 29.
