Alex Ferguson claims Ruud van Nistelrooy has exceeded his expectations with his phenomenal goalscoring form this season.

The Manchester United manager knew he was buying a world-class striker when he paid PSV Eindhoven £19m (€30.7m) for van Nistelrooy in the summer.
