Premiership: Todd blames lack of creative spark

Colin Todd blamed Derby's lack of thrust in the final third of the field for their 1-0 defeat to Fulham.

The loss, thanks to a Horacio Carbonari own goal, leaves his side firmly entrenched in the relegation zone.

"We got punished because of our mistakes. We had people out of position and they've gone through and hurt us," he said.

"But the most important factor was that we didn't create enough. We had to put back-to-back results together and this was a home game but we missed that chance.

"We have another opportunity in a week's time but tonight was a vital game for us and we've missed out. A lot of it was down to our non-performances."
