Premiership: We'll have edge when title race hots up - Giggs

Ryan Giggs inspired Manchester United to victory at Fulham and then warned that the champions have more run-in experience than their rivals.

Giggs scored twice and set up another for Ruud van Nistelrooy as he sparkled in a new role just behind the Dutchman, to guide United to their fifth consecutive league win amid an ominous revival.

Following their 3-2 victory at Craven Cottage, they are now just three points behind leaders Arsenal and are back within touching distance of all of their main rivals.

Giggs highlighted what he believes will be a crucial advantage after seven titles in the past nine seasons.

He declared: "We've got the experience of going into the last part of the season and winning the championship.

"That's important. You need that experience as people will take points off each other. It's just how you react that matters."

He said: "The ability was always there but we just needed to have a bit of luck and to go on a run.

"We just have to concentrate on this run we're on and carry it on. We know it's difficult and we have a lot of ground to make up but we just have to keep on winning."
