Premiership: Bolton go two goals and two men down

Bolton 0, Leicester 2 (latest)

Bolton have gone two goals and two men down as Dean Holdesworth has been sent off against Leicester for another tackle on Robbie Savage.

Bolton's topscorer Michael Ricketts scored at the wrong end of the field for the first goal and Brian Deane added to the Foxes' tally on 27 minutes.

Bolton were first reduced to 10 men after captain Paul Warhurst was sent off for a high challenge on Robbie Savage.

The game started badly when Ricketts made an impact of the wrong kind on his return when he was booked for a foul on Savage and Dennis Wise was also cautioned for dissent.

Neither side could take hold of the match during a very scrappy opening.

Akinbiyi shot well wide from around 25 yards out and Davidson cleared a dangerous centre from Ricketts in the only two moments of excitement.

Akinbiyi was then lucky to escape a booking, or even worse, when he pushed N’Gotty in the face, which did not go down well with the home fans.
