Former Drogheda United manager Martin Lawlor is believed to be favourite to take over from Stephen Kenny as boss at Longford Town.

The midlands club is expected to reveal its new manager later today and Lawlor is understood to be top of the list.

Yesterday, UCD manager Paul Doolin ruled himself out of the running for the job.

Monaghan United boss Bobby Browne has also been linked with the position, which was left vacant when Kenny moved to Bohemians earlier this month.
