Premiership: Blackburn linked with goal-king Cole
Blackburn Rovers have been linked with out-of-favour Manchester United striker Andy Cole.
Reports claim Blackburn are prepared to make funds available to bring Cole to Ewood Park, who needs first team action to enhance his chances of making England’s World Cup squad.
Yesterday Blackburn were beaten 3-0 at home by Sunderland and relied on Irish international Damien Duff as a lone striker.
Cole played no part in Manchester United's 2-0 victory at Everton, where Ruud van Nistelrooy and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer were Alex Ferguson's chosen strikers.
