Premiership: Spurs to appeal Sheringham incident

Tottenham have confirmed they will appeal against Teddy Sheringham’s sending off for violent conduct against Ipswich on Saturday.

Sheringham was given the red card by referee Mike Riley when he appeared to punch Ipswich defender John McGreal, but TV pictures showed the incident was more of a push.
