Premiership: Spurs set to appeal over Teddy dismissal

Tottenham have confirmed they will appeal against Teddy Sheringham’s controversial sending-off during their home defeat to Ipswich on Saturday.

Sheringham was given his marching orders by referee Mike Riley for allegedly throwing a punch at John McGreal during a tangle, although television replays later appeared to support Sheringham’s claims of innocence.
